What We Believe Continued

God The Father

God the Father is the First Person in the Trinity. In Genesis 1:1, He is the Creator of the Universe. God is sovereign and controls the world according to the council of His glory and will. He is the possessor of all things (I Chronicles 29:11), infinite in knowledge, and is omnipresent- meaning- everywhere at the same. God the Father is in control of time and He is the beginning and the end- the self-existing One. He needs no other validation or verification. He stands alone.

Jesus

According to the Holy Scriptures, we believe that Jesus Christ was born of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit by the Virgin Mary. Jesus is the Son of God and is co-equal with God (Philippians 2:6). Jesus has always existed; He is eternal with God and is God- that is God in the form of man-in the flesh. Jesus is God in the flesh (I Timothy 3:16), and is now at the right hand of God the Father (Acts 2:33).

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third in the Godhead, not third in importance for the Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son. The God head is simply God manifesting Himself in three persons. The work of the Holy Spirit is evident in the believer’s salvation, the believer’s submission, and the believer’s substance. The Holy Spirit’s initial work in the church began at Pentecost in Acts 2 to begin building and establishing the Church. The role of the Holy Spirit is multifaceted. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). He, the Holy Spirit, is responsible for the redemptive process in the life of a believer. He is the revealer of truth (Spirit of Truth, John 16:13); He is the Promise of the Father (Acts 1:4); the Holy Spirit of Promise (Eph. 1:14). The Holy Spirit is also the down payment for our eternal redemption (Eph. 1:14).
